A short Intro
Welcome on my website. On this site you see a lot of my work I have made through the years.
As a kid I was already making drawings from all kinds of subjects especially wildlife, like elephants, tigers etc.
In the early 70's I became more seriously with my paintings. I began to draw with charcoal and in a later stadium pastels.
In the early 80's I started to make art with the airbrushtechnique. It was a great revelation for me, I could make my art photorealistic.
The problem was, there wasn't a school who could learn me working with the airbrushtechnique, so I learned it myself (autodidact).
During my paintings with airbrush I had a commission of a Toyota-dealer for making several airbrushpaintings from Toyota. That was my stepping stone for painting Formula 1 cars. Fortunately I had a class as advertisement illustrator and learned how to draw fonts. This was very usefull for the formula one cars with their advertisements on the cars.
My first Airbrush from a formula 1 car was Derek Warwick in the Lotus/Lamborghini. Later I started making paintings in oil paint. Also a technique I have learned myself. On the formula 1 page you see the most of my paintings I have made in the last 25 years.
In the beginning from my wildlife paintings I made several drawings with charcoal and pastel. In a later stadium I started painting with oil.

Welkom op mijn website. Op deze site kun je veel van mijn werk terugzien.
Van jongs af aan maak ik al tekeningen van allerlei onderwerpen, meestal wel specifiek wildlife, zoals olifanten, tijgers enz.
Begin jaren 70 werd ik iets serieuzer met het maken van schilderijen. Ik begon met houtskool en wat later met pastel.
Begin jaren 80 ben ik begonnen met de Airbrush techniek. Dat was voor mij een grote ontdekking want met deze techniek kon ik fotorealistische schilderijen maken.
Het probleem was echter dat er niet een cursus voor was en heb het mij door vallen en opstaan zelf aangeleerd.
Tijdens mijn ontwikkeling in het maken van Airbrushschilderijen kreeg ik een opdracht om via een garage bedrijf auto's te Airbrushen. Dat was mijn opstapje voor het schilderen van Formule 1 auto.
Gelukkig heb ik nog een cursus reclametekenen gedaan en zodoende kon ik goed omgaan met het maken van de belettering op de auto's. De eerste Formule 1 Airbrush was Derek Warwick in zijn Lotus/Lamborghini. Inmiddels heb ik ruim 80 schilderijen gemaakt van deze sport, allereerst in Airbrush en later in olieverf.
In het begin maakte ik wildlife tekeningen met houtskool. Later ben ik schilderijen gaan maken met olieverf.
